Dear Friends and Family of Livingston, Montfort and Cobb UMC,
It is with a heavy heart that I let you know that my last Sunday with you will be Sunday, September 1st.
When I arrived with you in August of 2021, you welcomed both me and my daughter Hannah with warmth and love. When I became ill, you cared for us by bringing us home cooked meals, taking us to appointments in Madison, praying for us, standing on our front lawn joined in song prior to my surgery, and asking about our wellbeing.
During my time with you we’ve been through much. We’ve seen each other through some difficult times with the threat of disaffiliation, we’ve encountered injury and illness, and we’ve lost some beloved saints in our midst. We’ve wept together, we’ve laughed together, we’ve worked side by side and we’ve watched God perform miracles.
God has now called me in a new direction. After much prayer and discernment, I have accepted a position with Agrace Hospice and will be working out of the Madison office as their Spiritual and Grief Coordinator.
The decision for me was a difficult one to make and took many months, tears and prayers to deliberate. Serving as your pastor has been my deep honor.
May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you. May the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.
Sincerely,
Pastor Kristen Lowe
